My name is Heather Hart, and I was born & raised in Jupiter, FL, but I now call Pilot Mountain, NC “home.” When I was younger, I never exactly knew what I wanted to do when I grew up, but what I did know was that I wanted to help people, I wasn’t a half bad writer, and I was undeniably a “creative.” One of my earliest memories I can recall on this topic is a conversation I was having with my Mom about a future career, unsure of which direction I’d take. Her response was simple:

“The best thing you could ever do for yourself is owning your own business.”

For years, I did what the majority of people do: showed up to work, went through the motions, and wondered why I just couldn’t feel a sense of accomplishment from seemingly unremarkable tasks. When I finally had enough of it, I thought about what my Mom told me, and I considered the advice that every notable entrepreneur gives about starting a business:

“Just begin.”

Before I knew it, what was supposed to be a one-time retail photography gig turned into a full-fledged social media marketing position: and the rest is history. Looking back on the days when I wasn’t exactly sure what form my desire to “help people” would take, it perplexes me that here I am 15 years later filling the gap between people’s “why’s” and “how’s” through a winning combination of writing, creativity, and photography.

And, while the success of my business is always in the back of my mind, the success of your business is at the forefront. Being able to track quantifiable evidence that my hard work has contributed to the growth of your business is my driving force, and I will work tirelessly to do just that.

While I appreciate you reading this short synopsis about the origin of Social Southern Hart, I would absolutely love for you to reach out and continue the conversation.
